Quick jaunt on the Monument Trail this morning revealed much snow has already melted for the season. Around mile two there begins to be major blowdown across the trail making running a start-stop venture. A bit farther along the trail begins to get very brushy--I hope the horses get up here soon to beat back nature. Temperatures and views are perfect out there this time of year.
This will be a great trail for folks when the highway opens again. My preferred access to the Pasayten. There was just minor snow in the parking lot and a lot of winter damage to the road--but it was open and drivable in my 2WD truck.
